Can you buy a Cross Century II Medalist

The revived status of fountain pens in everyday use throughout the recent number of years has been mirrored by a rise in the number of collectors. Collectors of classic pens are different from other collectors in that lots of them opt to use their collectibles, at least now and again. A vintage fountain pen can literally last you for a lifetime if it is well looked after.

Recently I borrowed a Cross ballpoint from a work colleague and felt I was in the attendance of something special. After a brief search I found a merchant auctioning a Cross Century II Medalist. Thankfully I secured it for a excellent price. The details stated that it was as good as new and boy was he spot on. It was in in new condition, with internal and outer boxes and all the papers. This is a beautiful writing instrument and everyone is asking me where they can get hold of one. The most noteworthy fact for me is that it is a wonderful writing instrument. It moves across paper like no other pen I’ve ever used. I congratulate the Cross creators, this truly is a masterpiece.

It's critical to select a nib with the correct point to fit each persons writing habits. There are distinct flow breadths that create correspondingly different sized writing, depending upon the level of force that is used on them.
