Mont Blanc pens are also sensitive to the type of ink you put in them, so you should refill with fresh ink every so often. Mont Blanc produce inks, which are recommended. They produce inks in many colours, including unusual ones such as British Racing Green! It is also necessary to clean out your Mont Blanc pen at least once a year, using household ammonia diluted with water. As long as you treat it right, your Mont Blanc pen could last longer than you, whilst adding pleasure to your writing and distinction to your letters.
If you use an ink cartridge refill make sure that it is suitable for Montblanc fountain pens.
