The improved reputation of fountain pens as writing instruments across the past several years has been accompanied by a rise in the quantity of collectors. Collectors of classic pens vary from other collectors in that many of them choose to use their fountain pens, at least occasionally. A top quality fountain pen can quite literally last a lifetime if it is well looked after.

Around a month ago I tested a Parker ballpoint from a mate of mine and felt I was in the attendance of something special. Couple of days ago I was happy to find a merchant offering a Parker Sonnet Chiselled Tartan S T. The good news is I got it for a brilliant price. The description said that it was as good as new and yes was he truthful. It was in in new condition, with inside and external boxes and all the papers. This is a beautiful Parker and all my friends is asking me where they can buy one. The best fact for me is that it is a wonderful pen. It writes across paper like no other writing instrument I’ve ever used. I thank the Parker creators, this truly is a masterpiece.

It's critical to decide upon a nib with the correct head to allow for each persons writing habits. There are different flow sizes that produce correspondingly diverse writing, dependant upon the force that is used on them.
