The improved reputation of fountain pens for writing during the last number of years has been mirrored by a hike in the amount of collectors. Around a month ago I borrowed a Sheaffer ballpoint from a buddy and felt I was in the presence of something special. Hunting around I discovered a merchant offering a Sheaffer 300 Black with Chrome trim. Fortunately I secured it for a brilliant price. The auction assured that it was like new and yes was he truthful. It was in new in the box condition, with inside and outer boxes and all the papers. It’s a beautiful writing instrument and everyone is asking me where they can purchase one. The significant fact for me is that it is a wonderful writing instrument. It glides across paper like no other pen I’ve ever used. I must praise the Sheaffer artists, it really is a masterpiece.

It is crucial to decide upon a nib with the appropriate head to suit individual writing habits. There are different head widths that produce correspondingly different sized writing, depending on the pressing that is placed on them.
