Sheaffer Pens

The improved popularity of fountain pens in everyday use over the past several years has been mirrored by a hike in the quantity of collectors. These collectors of rare pens are different from most other collectors in that most of them choose to use their collectibles, at least occasionally. A top quality fountain pen can literally last a lifetime if it is well kept.

Not that long ago I tried out a Sheaffer pen from a good friend and felt I was in the company of something special. After a brief search I found a merchant offering a Sheaffer Javelin Argent Silver. Fortunately I bought it for a superb price. It was assured that it was in excellent condition and yes was he accurate. It was in new in the box condition, with inner and external boxes and all the papers. Without doubt this is a great Sheaffer and one and all is asking me where they can get one. The significant fact for me is that it is a classic pen. It floats across paper like no other writing instrument I’ve ever used. I must praise the Sheaffer creators, this truly is a masterpiece.

It's essential to select a nib with the appropriate flow to fit individual writing habits. There are different point breadths that produce correspondingly diverse scripts, depending upon the amount of pressure that is exerted on them.
