Sheaffer Pens

The regenerated popularity of fountain pens in everyday use throughout the past several years has been mirrored by a rise in the number of collectors. Collectors of antique pens differ from a lot of collectors in that most of them choose to use their collection, at least from time to time. A vintage fountain pen can possibly last you for a lifetime if it's well kept.

Around a month ago I used a Sheaffer rollerball pen from a mate of mine and felt I was in the presence of something special. After a brief search I discovered a merchant auctioning a Sheaffer Prelude Fluted Gold. Thankfully I bought it for a superb price. The details said that it was like new and wow was he correct. It was in as good as new condition, with inner and outside boxes and all the papers. It is a classic Sheaffer and all my friends is asking me where they can buy one. The best fact for me is that it is a classic writing instrument. It moves across paper like no other writing instrument I’ve ever used. I thank the Sheaffer designers, without doubt is a masterpiece.

It is critical to choose a nib with the appropriate head to fit individual writing habits. There are assorted point widths that create correspondingly variable writing, dependant upon the pressing that is placed on them.
