Sheaffer Pens

The regenerated reputation of fountain pens for writing throughout the past number of years has been accompanied by an increase in the number of collectors. These collectors of rare pens are different from a lot of collectors in that a lot of them decide to use their fountain pens, at least every so often. A good fountain pen can quite literally last you for a lifetime if it's well kept.

Recently I tried out a Sheaffer ballpoint from a mate of mine and felt I was in the presence of something special. After a brief search I found a merchant offering a Sheaffer Javelin Argent Silver. Thankfully I got it for a brilliant price. The details guaranteed that it was in excellent condition and yes was he right. It was in in great condition, with inside and outside boxes and all the papers. This is a beautiful pen and all my friends is asking me how they can find one. The best fact for me is that it is a classic pen. It floats across paper like no other writing instrument I’ve ever used. I congratulate the Sheaffer artists, this truly is a masterpiece.

It is very important to decide upon a nib with the correct point to fit each persons writing habits. There are assorted head widths that give correspondingly varied writing, depending upon the amount of pressing that is exerted on them.
