Waterman Pens

The revived regard of fountain pens in everyday use across the past number of years has been followed by an increase in the amount of collectors. Collectors of antique pens vary from other collectors in that a number of them select to use their collection, at least occasionally. A good fountain pen can virtually last a lifetime if it is well looked after.

Around a month ago I borrowed a Waterman pen from a mate of mine and felt I was in the attendance of something special. Recently on eBay I found a merchant selling a Waterman Exception Slim Black Lacquer Silver Plated. Luckily I purchased it for a brilliant price. The description said that it was like new and wow was he truthful. It was in in great condition, with inner and outer boxes and all the papers. This is a beautiful pen and one and all is asking me where they can get one. The most important fact for me is that it is a great pen. It writes across paper like no other writing instrument I’ve ever used. I congratulate the Waterman designers, it really is a masterpiece.

It's essential to decide upon a nib with the right flow to accomodate individual writing habits. There are distinct flow sizes that produce correspondingly different sized writing, dependant upon the force that is exerted on them.
